The sales and financial reports tell you how much you’re selling and how
much you’re actually making.
Sales report
The sales report shows revenue over your chosen date range and store,
including:
- Total sales and number of orders.
- Breakdown by payment method — cash, M-Pesa, card.
- Top products — your best sellers by revenue and quantity.
Financial report
The financial report goes deeper into profitability:
- Revenue vs cost of goods sold (from product cost prices and purchases).
- Gross profit and margin.
- Expenses, for a picture of net performance.
Profit and margin are only as accurate as your data. Make sure products have
correct cost prices and that purchases
are received with accurate costs.
Payment & expense reports
- The payments report breaks down income by method, useful for reconciling
M-Pesa and card settlements.
- The expenses report groups your recorded expenses
so you can see where money goes.
Compare the same period week over week to spot trends early — a steady drop in
margin often points to rising costs or unrecorded discounts.
