Backups save a copy of your business data so you can restore it if something
goes wrong. TillBiz can back up on demand and, where configured, store copies
safely in the cloud.
Backup & restore is part of the Backup & restore feature. Cloud storage of
backups uses the Cloud storage (S3) feature. See
Subscription & licensing.
Create a backup
Open Backups
Go to Settings → Backup (or the Backup area in your sidebar).
Start a backup
Click Create backup. TillBiz captures a snapshot of your data.
Store it safely
If cloud storage is enabled, the backup is uploaded automatically; otherwise
download and keep it somewhere secure.
Restoring
If you ever need to recover, a backup can be restored to bring your data back
to that point in time.
Restoring replaces current data with the contents of the backup. Only restore
when you’re sure, and ideally with help from your admin or TillBiz support —
anything entered after the backup was taken will be lost.
Take a backup before any big change — a large catalog import, a price overhaul,
or a stock take — so you always have a clean point to return to.
