# Invoice templates

> Customize how your invoices look with reusable, branded templates.

**Invoice templates** control how your [invoices](/guides/sales-customers/invoices)

Set them up once and reuse them.

## Using a template

When you [create an invoice](/guides/sales-customers/invoices), choose which
template to use. The invoice — on screen, as a PDF, and in the
[customer portal](/guides/billing-addons/customer-portal) — renders with that
template's branding.

<Tip>
  Keep separate templates for different purposes — for example a detailed template
  for B2B clients and a simpler one for walk-in customers.
</Tip>
