# Staff performance reports

> See how each cashier is doing — sales, orders, and shift summaries.

The **staff** report shows how your team is performing at the till, helping you
recognize top performers and spot training needs.

## What it shows

* **Sales per cashier** over the selected period.
* **Number of orders** each staff member handled.
* **Average order value** by cashier.

## Shift summaries

Each closed [shift](/guides/point-of-sale/closing-a-shift) is recorded with its
sales, expenses, cash movements, and final **cash variance**. Reviewing shifts
alongside staff performance helps you connect a cash discrepancy to a specific
session.

  Repeated cash variances from the same cashier usually mean a process problem —
  unrecorded cash-outs or change errors — more often than anything deliberate.
